Pete and I have been discussing for some time on whether or not we want a handgun in our house. I grew up in a house filled with guns. I know how to load and shoot a handgun and have done so. We knew where they were but never messed with them. We were taught gun safety at a very young age. My father makes a very good case for why we should have a gun in our home. However, I still have a problem with having a gun in my house. I don't know if I will ever get over my fear of having a handgun in my home. Then I saw this article in The Onion this morning. The article makes light of children getting a hold of guns, but my biggest fear is that a child would get a hold of the gun without supervision. It remains to be seen whether The Bentsons will have a gun.
