A New Baby!!

No, I'm not pregnant! A few weeks ago Pete and I took delivery of a baby BMW at the BMW performance center in Greer, SC. Pete tracked the progress of his baby from start to finish. He knew the day she rolled off the assembly line, the day she was loaded onto the K-Line car carrier, where she was in the Atlantic, the day she arrived in Charleston, SC, and which Norfolk Southern train carried her to Greer. Its a pretty fun process! We had a blast driving on BMW's tracks, touring the BMW plant, and picking up our new car. She is a BMW 1M, which is a fairly rare car in the US. BMW only shipped about 750 of these cars over here and all were pre-ordered. Pete placed his order when Charlie bear was two weeks old, so its been a long wait for him. Notice his SEG?!

The tape is to protect the paint on our long trip home. She now has a clear coating so the ghetto tape job is no longer necessary. This shot is on the Blue Ridge Parkway just northwest of Ashville, NC.
