Camp Kennesaw

We still own Camp Kennesaw. I believe today is day 33 on the market. It stinks- really stinks. Our house is constantly spotless. You all know that we are not spotless people. We have also had on average one showing per day. We usually get a call about an hour ahead of time. The call is like an alarm, it's GO time! We run around making the bed, removing the towels from the bathroom, uncovering the furniture, taking out the trash, scooping the box, making sure no laundry is out, turning up the heat, loading the dishes..why don't you do this every day you ask? WE DO! But we want the house equally spotless for each visitor, so we always have at least one glass and one towel to remove before they come. Even Belle is tired of this. At least once a day we load her up into the car to drive over the the church and sit in the parking lot. It was fun to spy on the first few visitors but the novelty has worn off. Every Sunday we drive around looking at open houses with Belle in the car. At first, she was cool with the whole thing. She would curl up and sleep. After week 5 of this- she now yelps at the top of her lungs the whole time we are gone- it's quire embarrassing. I know I know- how could I possibly be complaining after only 33 days in this AWFUL market. Well, it's really not so bad in Arlington. In fact, we have come up 1.5% in the last year. A house up the street for $50.00 less than ours with one less bathroom sold in 4 days. The couple was looking to make an offer on our house and decided on that one because it had granite in the kitchen and a deck. Silly really, bathrooms cost much more than decks or granite but what do they know?? Now every time someone comes to look at our place, I sing pick ours, pick ours in my head. Here's hoping my song works this week:)
