Can you believe that Pete and I have been together 14 years?! Our first date was over 14 years ago. I'm sure most of you have heard the story about how we went to a see an awful movie. We were supposed to see a different terrible movie but I got the time wrong and we had to see, Something to Talk About. A small detail which I later learned annoyed Pete immensly. Either way, we went out again and again and again and here we are 14 years later. I am so lucky to have an amazing husband that takes the good and the bad and loves me despite it all. He doesn't have it so bad either!Last night as we passed 17th Street, Pete asked me if I wish it were 8 years ago and we were back at that party house with little responsibility. I can honestly say that I would not go back. I have loved our life together and would not change a thing. I am only looking forward to the future!
By the way, you know each other well when you purchase the same anniversary card! The card which has two ravens on the front says, "I will love you till the day I die." Then on the inside, " Then I'm free, right?" HA!
