Amy and Chris came to Arlington for Labor Day weekend! I have to say after two years of not seeing each other, its like we were all together yesterday. I miss the days of the four of us hanging in the old apartment- good times!!
We went to the Tech game at FedEx while they were in town. Roman treated us to a mean tailgate complete with beer, bourbon, brats, burgers, and Kirk Herbstreit! Yep, that's right- Kirk pulled up in the ESPN van, and we got to swoon over him. He's as cute as he looks on tv and very nice :) I have no pictures of him. Amy and I in our mad dash across the parking lot forgot a camera. My dad captured these shots prior to our loss. The game was good but very disappointing. I have to say there is NOTHING like college football!
That is Pete in Tech colors. It's too bad Tom does not read our blog. I happened to be sitting next to Pete while Tom told him the day before the game that Tech was going to get killed by Boise State. At least that didn't happen (even if they did go to down to JMU)!
Did I mention there was beer and bourbon at our tailgate? We're lucky Whitlow made it out alive. Luckily, no furniture went down and Chris did keep his pants on ;)
