Let the Good Times Roll

It's been a crazy week that started with an excellent weekend. The Walkaways played at RFD on Saturday night- good times and great show. Thanks Todd for entertaining us once again. I always enjoy going to hear them play especially when the Tech game is on at the same time in the same bar- yes I do know they lost to BC:(

Pete, Rob, Thad, and Todd decided to act like the grown men they are by stacking every empty/half full vessel on the table. As I am sure you can figure, the night ended with a toppling tower, Rob with wet pants, and cigars at Shelly's. Love these boys!

12 hours after we left Shelly's back room we were settled in at the Skins tailgate with my mom and dad. We were right next to the stadium this week, which is much more entertaining than the satellite parking lots. We saw some crazy fans, had tons of people watching our tv, and saw the marching band (my favorite part- well maybe the beer was my favorite part).

Pete had the prime spot the whole afternoon!

Skins squeaked it out against the Browns but all that fun made 6AM feel earlier than usual on Monday morning. Pete headed to NYC for work and I to Farmville by way of Lynchburg to drop Belle with Tommy and Anna.
It was a long trip but the weather was great going down 29 and across 460. It's probably good that I forget how beautiful the Virginia mountains are in the fall- it's such a pleasant surprise every year!

As if that was not enough to keep us busy.. Obama came to Leesburg yesterday, and Pete and I booked it out there to see him. The traffic was so bad that we got there in time to hear the last 20 minutes of his speech from the road. I have to be in Farmville for an evaluation at the hospital on election day. I was seriously looking forward to waiting in line to vote but am thankful that Anna told me to go vote early- just to be safe! I'll be casting my early vote and picking up my sticker on Friday. Thanks Katherine for pointing out that the sticker makes a great fashion accessory.
